Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.  (Matthew 18:15,16)(KJV)

This is a  powerful advice, if anyone has anything committed anything against us, we need to take the first step “go” to try solve it between that two individuals. With the fad of keeping up with the "social media”, it becomes easy to “name and shame” publicly or privately and its easy to tarnish another person. Most often we hear and see of people not dealing with an individual on a one-on-one level instead using indirect means. Although, sometimes in life when people disappoint us, when circumstances are not in favour of us; God is teaching us to kill the last bit of “I” in us….. “except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone, but if it die it bring forth much fruit”. He may bring us to places and people where we have to stop and truly mean “I surrender all” so that HE might crown us victors and HE WILL BE THE VICTOR and not us but thats another thought altogether!! The point here is, how Jesus’s disciple should, deal with another trespassing against us!! If the other patiently takes our reproof, acknowledges and reconciles, then we may have restored the person, our relationship! But, if the person denies it or defends it only then Jesus is asking us to says to openly reprove in front of all !!

What is our stake to deal with people who offends us?? Do we have the courage to speak directly and to win a relationship?? Or will we let it go with an attitude o “time will heal”?? Not any easy choice and sometimes not a favourable end, esp if you shoulder a ministry, but let me ask….who’s disciple are we ??
