Still waters

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. (KJV) ( Psalm 23:2 )

Sometimes we see nothing but a lot of work to be done be in our spiritual life or in the duties we are entrusted with. But it is equally important that we enjoy the rest that the Lord guides us to. He expects us to remain still and be restful so that it will give us the strength to run the next lap of life . Let us not get distracted by the unfinished work it will always be there even when we are back from resting. If the Lord has picked that specific spot of rest shall we enjoy the tranquility and the serenity of the green pastures (a place where there is delight and plenty!) HE has placed each of us. Shall we take a tiny break and allow the Lord to guide us to rest. The verse says "he leadeth me" why? So that we wont be lost by wandering around!! He leads us to waters of stillness-peace :) He knows the work we have to finish so he wants us to realize after a rest we will be more productive!!

Today, this verse is a personal encouragement for a good start. There is a lot to do, a lot of unfinished work, which scares us. Certain daring thing we may ask God in prayer...I did a daring request recently not for any material blessing but in ministry, only for His glory not for any of our names to be glorified. Suddenly the enemy played a trick, he brought in thoughts of many discouragement as to why it may not be fruitful without media, influence, and social media! On the other side a thought came in saying, no one is exempted from using any of these, BUT, what would you like God to call you :) Samuel was a prophet and a priest, so was Elisha and Elijah......do not limit God!! It was very very encouraging to hear the message on Jan 3rd at our church by Johnson Uncle. A good end to the first 3-day fasting prayer of the month, we need timely reminder not to limit the God who was formed the heavens and the earth, the God who can do anything if "we believe"...Regardless of the the age of our problem, HE is still the solution, all HE asks of us is to have a the FAITH...

Father God, you have placed us in a place of delight and plenty, yet we focus on the work to do than to enjoy the stillness of peace. Lord refresh us to run that spiritual race that's ahead of us victoriously...
