Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable (Psalm 145:3)

God is so great that he deserves our praise in proportion to his greatness and it is unsearchable.  If we start thinking of God's greatness we cannot stop applauding! Look around see the nature, the sunrise, sunset,  the full moon, look at how human system functions, the very breath he gave us, the ecosystem and everything around us; there is absolutely no end to His greatness.

Do we see and realize His greatness each day, or have we lost sight of how great God is?? Look at our past n present n don't we see the hand of a beautiful, stupendous, unspeakably august, loving, just, merciful and mighty God?? And the best part is His greatness never stops, it unending and it stretches and is greatly to be praised !!

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
‭‭(Acts‬ ‭3:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

There was a lame man who sat at the gate of the temple called Beautiful! His begged for alms to make his ends meet, like on a regular day he begged for money but God had a different plan for him, little  did he know that day would be a turning point in his life! Through Peter, Jesus did a miracle in his life, he never has to live a life of a lame man, he was made whole!

He had to beg because he was lame .. So many times we are wound on our 'today' that we ask God to answer our present concern and not asking or believing that there could be a turning point in our lives even if it's late. We come to terms with accepting the real problem ! But what if the present need is due to a deeper problem that needs a miracle ??? Do we ask God to take us by our right hand and lift our root cause and solve it for us?? Are you going through spiritual dryness, Emotional battle, Financial struggle Or problem in relationships?? Today shall we ask God to nip the root of all our issues and to be made whole in His presence to offer ourselves as sacrifices for His name sake. Let us pray that we regain our strength for the glory of His name!!

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.(Acts 2:46-47)

Early church showed a great example of unity, love of Christ, living in fellowship, it says having favour with all the people( perhaps not an easy task if we rely on our abilities!!) It says God added daily to the church! Praying with one accord, breaking bread, they ate with thankfulness to God by acknowledging it came from Him with joy! They had singleness of heart with sincerity and openness  before God, and one another.

27 September 2015

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38)

Jesus Christ was sent by God, to redeem Israel, He is the Messiah and Saviour of the world; When we truly repent we will change our way of speaking of Christ, there will be changes in our approach towards His followers; there will be change in our way of life, our attitudes even in our speech! To enjoy the fruits of repentance one needs to confess his sins trusting in the love of God, under the convictions of Holy Spirit, faith in Christ and his mercy remembering Christ paid death penalty for even smallest of sin and to forsake it!

Apostle Peter says Repent and be baptised for the remission of sins, he doesn't say that forgiveness of sin could be received either by only one repentance, or by baptism but both through the blood of Christ!!

26 September 2015

These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.(Acts 1:14)

The early church had unity in prayer and supplication,....what were they praying for? Was it not for the promise of the Holy Spirit, that Christ had promised them? They had to be preserved from their enemies, prepared n abundantly qualified to continue preaching the Gospel, remain faithful to their Lord till the end. They would have prayed for hearts to be comforted, abundance of unity n love! The most powerful part is they had unanimous requests to God!! A thing we learn from them; unanimous requests of prayer (possibly not for their material benefits but for fulfilling their Master's call on their lives!!)

We all have experienced the power of such prayers! I'm certain most have witnessed how God answers us when prayed with one accord. As the end times are near let us us continue to encourage one and all to come together to sit at the feet of Christ and pray with one accord to finish our   Master's great calling! Let us pray with one accord for all nations and tribes, pray that churches and ministers will be effective carriers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, pray that our character and mindset will truly reflect Christ !!

[How] shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed according to thy word - Psalm 119:9

It was from a VBS song (guess it was at Ps Daniel Grimmer's church's VBS@ Abu Dhabi) that I first noticed of this verse in the Bible!!  The question the psalmist ask is striking, he doesn't ask "Why?" Or, "Should a young man cleanse his way?" instead he asks how?? He doesn't ask why does does a young man/woman need mental, emotional, and physical purity because he knows it is important to God!! He is admitting of his frailty before a Holy God and asking God the best means to accomplish this purity!!

The solution to see the genuine flaws of character and mindset is to look into the mirror of God's Word! We do not have to do perform rituals to know and understand how to purify our life and to please God. All we need to do is take heed to and study  God's Word, the Bible. Let us make His wisdom ours too and live by it.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.(Acts 1:8)

The disciples were assured that they would receive the power; power that they needed to carry on their life as a disciple. Power to preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth, to be witnesses by performing miracles, to have courage to face enemies, reproaches,  persecutions, to profess Christ, to live and abide by his ordinances!! They were to live as witnesses for Christ to preach of the crucified n resurrected Christ to testify of the glory that followed the sufferings of Christ, the only Saviour!! Jesus was extending their mission from Jerusalem, Judea, to Samaria (where he had forbid his disciples earlier to go to but now were sent there) and throughout the whole world!
What was our mission after receiving the Holy Spirit? Was it thickening of our status, assets, future? How far have we taken n acted upon the great commission of Christ? What do we still ask of God? Is it temporal things if this world ? Or is it of the things that sustains??

22 September 2015

To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: (Acts 1:3)

The most important 40 days for the disciples!! They saw the life death and resurrection of Christ! So His teachings during the 40 days after resurrection must have meant a lot to them; one that would drive them! Christ was seen and heard by the disciples after resurrection. He taught them things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

Can you identify with them that unfeigned delight of hearing to their Master yet again, when they just thought they lost a teacher?? Allow me to be distracted with a wee a bit of imagination; A lot of their master's words must have suddenly have had more meaning to it, perhaps leading a few to trust Him ever more because they saw the death and resurrection and fulfilment of the prophecies!!

As Modern day Christians we have access to Bibles, wealth of knowledge in  media, churches, ministers and brethren....Let us learn of Him now, before it is too late coz His second coming is for gathering His saints !!let us Sit at His feet for more revelation of The Word of God and to live by it!

21st September 2014

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. (Matthew 27: 51-54)

It was after crucifixion the earth shook;  rocks split; tombs broke open; saints were restored to life; and Roman soldiers recognized Jesus as the Son of God...whilst Christ was still alive they didn't see who He was! It is not what our perceptions say about Christ that matters, it is knowing who HE truly is! Before the end of times, before it's too late let us seek Christ earnestly and know Him to be known by Him!! Give Him due honour, credit and trust Him beyond our instincts or understanding! We were buried with Him (Jesus) through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4)!!

20th September 2015

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:41)(KJV)

Every child of God should get a copy of the book why revival tarries and read it several times in several phases of their life! I'm sure that no one will close the book without being touched... In the author's words the reason for revival being tarried is because we have more people on the pulpit and less on their knees. My intent is not to point at those on the pulpits but for the Church(body of Christ) to step up to be on our knees for those on pulpits not to fall into temptation ???

In the social media, in the last few weeks there have been disturbing news with allegations against ministers (whether true or false isn't my concern) n individuals. It breaks our heart to read such news, it tears one into pieces n again instead of voicing n responding publicly  how many are PRAYING??? The end times are times of deception n let us pray that we will not fall into temptation and pray for not to be deceived!! Pray earnestly for those in the ministry like in the times of Elijah how there was an Obadiah who hid those 150 prophets, by our prayers let us ask God to keep n hide those on pulpits from the evil and temptations!!

14th September 2015

And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. (Matthew 27:35)

A verse that weighs one down, there is much depth to these words that leaves us staggering of His love for us!!! The way it is narrated may seem to be simple but if we ponder over, where do we see ourselves in the scene of crucifixion ?? Are we part of them that are crucifying him daily or are we among those fleeing from Him, or are we thankful for His love, His mercy ?? He died for every sin of mine!! Have anyone shown us a better love than loosing His life for us? Who on this earth will suffer so much for our sake? Even being a mum we do have our limits and tolerance levels when it comes to how much we can bear!

But my Heavenly Father chose to send His only begotten son for my Sin, so that I may live today!! Do I live worthy of such unconditional love???Despite my failures n rejections of His supremacy He still chose to die for my sins!! Father God, allow us to be receptive to your will in our lives and to live a life worthy in your sight!

13th September 2015

But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end. (Matthew 26:58)

Peter too had fled at first but his affection for Christ drew him back to see what would happen to his teacher Jesus.... Where are you in your relationship with Christ? Is he drawing you or are you drawing yourself back??? Perhaps a question we need to ask ourself daily! I've been a bit caught up with a little course (actually 2) in the UAE that I don't log my notes just keep them highlighted to log for later. But I realize that we cannot draw ourself back coz His live calls us near! I could write a lot that's been on my mind this week! How I acted with little faith, and three words spoken in the church that I attended this week was speaking in to my area of little faith!! So as I write these, I surrender myself to draw back n to be as close as I be to my Maker, my Redeemer!

5th September 2015

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:41)(KJV)

This verse is a summary of the Christian duty. If we are watchful or discerning in Holy Spirit we can see temptations. It is prayer however that will give us the strength to withstand it so that we will not enter into temptation. In the context of the events following this verse Peter and others were going to be tempted and they needed prayer more than rest!!!
Jesus was experiencing the truth of the words he spoke, however in His care saying, the weakness of the flesh was overmastered by His willing spirit!! What overmasters us? Is it flesh or temptation or are we controlled by the Holy Spirit ??? Let us watch and pray for the time of His second coming is one day closer than it was yesterday!!

4th September 2015

Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her. (Matthew 26:13)(KJV)

What a strong promise wherever the gospel; the story of Jesus - his life, teaching, death, resurrection is preached; Jesus affirms that Mary's deed shall be told too!! Look at the magnitude of the promise; Jesus's Great Commission was to spread the gospel of the kingdom throughout the world; so how deep was the promise!
Christ says; although the disciples blamed her action; her faith, love, and gratitude will be spoken throughout the world. This woman got a good name and report by her precious ointment; and if this woman's action was to be told for a memorial of her, how much Christ values our actions and attitudes! Even Christ's disciples blamed Mary for her action so when people blame us for our faith don't focus on what they say as long as our action is only to express our faith, trust and love for Christ instead let us focus on whAt Christ would say!! God bless!!

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭(25:32‬)(KJV‬‬)

The angels shall gather all of mankind why because we read in the end times Christ will have been preached in every single part of the globe. Meaning this would be universal and impartial. Jesus is the Shepherd of everyone, thats why he can identify and separate the sheep from goats. With out human eyes if we judge a person thats why we read in Matthew 7 not to judge anyone, what would we see with our feeble eyes?? Can we see how the good and bad had been mingled together??? We read that, He will divide his sheep from the goats as a shepherd would. We read in the Bible that during the day, the flocks of sheep and and goats are usually together, but at night they are separated.

We read on saying who sits on the right and the left, the right will be the sheep and on His left would be the goats. We also read the destiny of both these goats and sheep. And the ones on the left went into everlasting punishment: but the sheep or the righteous into life eternal!! Where do we want to be? Most importantly what are we doing to be at His right side? What motivates us each day, new job, new challenges, ambitions are all good when God and His Kingdom and eternity with Christ, is our priority!! Are we ready to meet Christ.??? We say time and tide waits for no man…, Jesus is still knocking at our doors to dine with us….!!

2nd September 2015

But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. (Matthew 25:9) (KJV)

A well heard, read, studied parable about the 10 virgins. This reply is given by them who were asked to share their oil with the ones who didn’t have. Listen to the tone, it does bring back another verse to mind that Jesus said, “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as dove”

Their answer is very abrupt and not the least compromising, for they said "Go ye rather to them that sell.” quite a remarkable statement. We know oil is often compared to having the unction of the Holy Spirit. This gist of the parable marks one thing clearly; the virgins had to be prepared for the bridegroom’s coming and they wouldn’t be complete without the oil. The bridegroom that we all are waiting for is Christ. If we are not prepared enough to meet him we may be left out!! He may shut the door on us. We who claim to be followers, if we are careless, if we walk in the ways of the world, there is a chance of draining or loosing the unction of Holy Spirit! Although we may go in the last hour seeking him and his ministers, there is a chance that we may be late!! The advise the 5 gives was to go to the stewards or the ministers of Christ, if only this was done at an earlier stage perhaps they could have had a chance to be with the groom. It is through understanding God’s word, that we feel a need for constant sanctification more than just the free gift of Salvation. Today, let us evaluate ourselves to see where we stand, if we have been saved..are we in the process of sanctification??…are we still lured by the world and its pleasures? Are we trying to combat the pressure and stress the world gives us?

Although the words buying and selling is used it is just an analogy not in  literal sense since we cannot purchase any gift of God with money God only requires consecration of hearts! There is only one thing we need to do; be prepared for Christ!!

1st September 2015

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew you that you are an hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not strewed:
We are accountable for even the smallest things which we are entrusted; our salvation, redemption, our spiritual gifts..n material blessings; work of hands, wealth, our knowledge all give us an opportunity to serve Christ. We must never forget that we serve a Master in heaven whom we will meet to give an account; so don't hide our talents!
Usually, people with a lot of privileges misuse or neglect it but in this parable the emphasize is on the one who was entrusted with only one talent. Notice, although he was least favoured among the three his task, his challenge, his responsibility was easiest, hence severe judgement. He must have heard the account of the two, how richly they have been rewarded for their work/service. But had no qualms to render his account; although he would know by now how unsatisfactory it is, and notice this ….he starts off by defending his behaviour by speaking out his view of his lord's character. He says "I know thee that thou art an hard man”; he choose to believe that his lord was tough, harsh, and one who taxes his servants above what the servants can do. Is it not the same today we see people daring to call their perception and impudence as knowledge? We read in Psalms 50:21 that men regard God in there own perverted views not as He is.
"Reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed is kind of a proverb, meaning a to get results without sufficient means. The slave is bringing a charge against his master, that he was making himself rich by others' hardwork; and that he expected gain from where he had not laboured. Do we blame God for our faults??
How many times have we compared ourselves our talents  to others? Forget about material blessings for now, lets talk about the spiritual things, like revelation of Christ, the manifestations of holy spirit through another person. Lets bless all those who are gifted and used by God!! When we are not ready to accept out mistakes, we may be ripped off what we are given!! He had a choice to repent at the sight of where he has made a mistake, he could have acknowledged before God saying here is where I have made a mistake…
We also have a choice in life….let us choose to repent and return to our Lord if we have failed..What is our attitude in accepting our failures?
I know I have been like the slave with a single talent, have failed in many areas, terribly failed and passed on my our perceived views of Christ in unspoken words !!
But today I desire to set back with Christ to e faithful in the little he has given..the easiest task I have may be to greet and smile at God’s children!!
God Bless
