2 June 2015

Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words (Daniel 10:12)

God's promises were fulfilled in His due time although Daniel had to face challenge!!! the ministers and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent. The only thing they could come up with was asking the King to issue a decree that all should pray to King and whoever doesn’t will be thrown in a den of lions! Daniel was thrown in to the den but he was not attacked by the lions. In the end the King sent a decree that all should worship Daniel’s living God! Who fights our battles?? God can not only send his angels to fight and conquer our enemies but can bring restoration and reward.

God finally rewarded Daniel to receive his allotted inheritance (Dan. 12:13). God is always in control.  He will not forsake if we, like Daniel, exercise wisdom and surrender our hearts to Him.Today if we feel we are in captivity, know that if we turn to God with all our heart and obey his directives, he will hear and deliver us into His freedom, just like He did for Daniel.
